Cybele Leon Design
Based in the Pacific Northwest, Cybele Leon creates up-cycled clothing as a brand dedicated to creative expression through experimentation and sustainable practices. Cybele Leòn uses a mixture of new and recycled materials for small batch production and up-cycled garments. Surplus clothing is sourced and deconstructed for raw materials, or repaired and elevated. Creating new, quality garments from second hand materials both reduces waste, and the environmental impact of omitting new materials in the garment’s production process. Scraps from producing these garments are further upcycled by being patchworked together into additional garments for sale, for a fully circular fashion model in support of a sustainable fashion habit.
Dance With Cybele
Cybele Leon is a cross-disciplined movement artist and sensual dancer combining her circus training and kink cabaret dance experience into her own blend of strength based sensual dance style. After launching her burlesque career at Burlesque at the Pink Door, the longest running burlesque show in the Pacific NorthWest, she cofounded a new cabaret as one third of the Valtesse Productions creative team. She has spent the last eight years immersed in the cabaret production world, wearing many behind the scenes hats, coproducing dozens of creative productions and performing in over a hundred shows.
